Architectural studio in Ibiza MG&AG Architects and their project of the OKU Ibiza Hotel
The Ibiza architecture firm MG&AG Arquitectos, led by Miguel García Quetglas and Andrés García Castiella, has been responsible for the design of the renowned Hotel OKU Ibiza, a project that has marked a before and after in the island's hotel architecture. The building, located in one of the most exclusive areas of Sant Antoni, combines pure lines, natural materials and an impeccable integration with the Mediterranean landscape.
The work of MG&AG Arquitectos has been highlighted for its ability to reinterpret local tradition from a contemporary perspective. White volumes, stone and wood textures and the use of interior courtyards evoke the essence of traditional Ibizan architecture, but with a modern and elegant aesthetic.
Several specialized media have described this project as "an almost perfect design", not only for its formal harmony, but also for its energy efficiency and respect for the environment. In a context in which architecture in Ibiza seeks to balance luxury tourism with sustainability, the OKU Hotel has become an international benchmark of good design and environmental sensitivity.
The project reaffirms the commitment of the team of architects in Ibiza MG&AG Arquitectos with the creation of spaces that transmit calm, coherence and authenticity, values that define the architectural identity of the island.
